Fundamentals of Catholic Morality
This course will cover the foundational principles of Catholic morality. Why is Catholic moral thinking so different even from other non-Catholic Christians? What is natural law and what role does it play in undoing the effects of Original Sin? What is divine law? How does it differ from natural law? What role does it play in undoing the effects of Original Sin? How does morality connect us more closely to God? While Catholic morality is very philosophical and can be a bit “heady,” it is also a deeply important part of Catholic spirituality. The effort put into understanding it more fully is well worthwhile!
